Higher Plane are a harmonious, self contained duo who have been paying their easy going blend of acoustic pop, country and folk since 2005. Their varied repertoire is by turns, fun, lively, up-tempo, easy listening, laid back or mellow, appealing to a broad range of tastes and ages. This makes them an ideal choice for all kinds of venues and events including pubs, social clubs, wine bars, restaurants, music festivals, sheltered housing clubs, private events and fetes.  Indeed they have experience at playing at all these types of event. 

They were set up originally to play a concert of Mike's lyrical and melodic original songs at a local music festival, but realising their potential, soon started to incorporate classic covers into their set.  Their approach involves imaginative and attractive arrangements, respecting in detail, the original songs, but also putting an individual stamp on them. Whether they add flute to a Van Morrison song or sing a Hank Williams number in close harmony, they offer something a little different to a "run of the mill" covers act. As passionate believers in live performance, Higher Plane do not use backing tracks in their shows.  

Mike and Janet have a flexible, professional attitude and will adapt to a client or venue’s requirements. With a wide knowledge of songs and musical genres, they will seek to accommodate individual requests made at reasonable notice before the show.
